What sponsorship supports
The site is deliberately architected to cost $0 in hosting, so sponsorship does not pay for servers. It supports the maintainer's time, the domain, and what comes next: more language editions, DOI-archived quarterly snapshots (Zenodo), and the continued build-out of flow visualisations and stories.
What will never change
- The data, downloads and citation tools stay free forever — no paywall.
- No ads, no trackers, no selling of data.
- This site does not fundraise for displaced people: to give to displaced people, go directly to the organisations listed on the about page. Site sponsorship and humanitarian giving are strictly separate; no charitable money passes through this site, and no referral fees are taken.
- Sponsorship never influences any number, ranking or presentation — the data answers only to its sources.
